Pringle Trophy

Over the weekend, eight of our pupils represented Blundell’s CCF at the prestigious Pringle Trophy, the ultimate test for Royal Marine Cadets across the UK.

OptimizedImage,,,OptimizedHaving earned promotion to the higher tier last year, the team once again demonstrated outstanding skill, resilience and determination.

Competing against schools from as far away as Perth in Scotland, our cadets finished 6th in the country, maintaining their place in the elite higher tier for another year. The demanding two-day event tested every aspect of their training, from endurance and teamwork to leadership and problem-solving.

From early morning starts after a cold night in the drill shed to tackling a gruelling endurance course featuring tunnels, icy water and submerged obstacles, the cadets were pushed to their limits. Further challenges included section attacks, contact drills, command tasks and close-quarter battle scenarios — all completed under competition conditions.

The team came close to victory in several areas, particularly in Contact Drills and Fire Control Orders, and sc OptimizedImage,,,Optimizedored over 80% across most disciplines. Their grit, teamwork and leadership were exemplary.

Special thanks go to the CCF staff team for their dedication and support, whose expertise and commitment continue to inspire our cadets to achieve at the highest level.
