Blundell’s Recognised in the Cricketer Schools Guide 2026
Blundell’s is proud to be named among the Top 100 Senior Schools and Top 50 Prep Schools in The Cricketer Schools Guide 2026.
This recognition reflects the strength of our cricketing provision and the dedication shown by both pupils and staff.
Director of Cricket, Dean Headley, said the acknowledgement highlights the school’s commitment to fostering a thriving cricket culture:
“This reflects the strong cricketing environment we’ve built, where pupils of all abilities can fall in love with the game.”
A standout moment this year was the hugely successful Sri Lanka tour at Easter, which brought together 33 pupils from across the ability range. Looking ahead, excitement continues to grow:
“With 58 pupils already signed up for the next tour and our first ever combined cricket and netball tour interest has never been stronger.”
The school has also continued to invest in outstanding facilities:
“From new astro pitches and reversible sight screens to an upgraded four-lane practice area and our new Merlyn bowling machine, we’re committed to providing the best possible environment for development.”
Dean added that the focus remains firmly on the future:
“We will continue to develop and inspire. With a full preseason ahead and a mix of formats from two-day cricket to 100-ball matches there is so much to look forward to.”
